A week or so ago my summer camp had a field trip. One might think that a summer time excursion with several bus loads full of kids would be headed to a sunny fun filled destination outside like Everland where both teachers and students could play. No such luck. Instead we pulled up to the Singing Stars English Theater camp for a full day of activities not designed with an adult in mind.
Rightfully so, I mean, the field trip is for the kids, but it would have been nice if it was like a Pixar movie wherein adults have just as much fun. At Singing Star English the focus falls directly on the kids to sing, dance, and act their little hearts out. The camp instructors divy up the kids into groups and ship them off to either work on the dance, acting, or singing part of the end day performance. After a while the groups of students rotate.
The kids seemed to enjoy it immenselly. One of the instuctors whipped out a guitar and started the singing along, while in another room an instructor had the kids buzzing around like bees. So while the kids were being thoroughly entertained the teachers lapsed into states of coma from boredom.
Still, a day away from school and out and about is nothing to complain about.
carol, sorry I didn't respond to this sooner. I suggest contacting the company directly. They may be hiring!
I know it wasn't fun for you but I would love to work at a camp like that. I love singing dancing and acting. Any idea on how I look for a job like that?
