KMK: Rider Beware

Do you ride subway line number two? If you do then best be on guard against misanthropes out to grope you. According to the Chosun Ilbo, most sex crimes happen on subway line number two.

What could it be about this seemingly innocous subway line that could be drawing such an unsavory criminal element? Well, the police think it’s because of this:

Lee Sang-man, a senior officer at the Seoul subway police squad, said such crimes occur most frequently between Seoul National University and Jamsil stations. “The reason seems to be that many women commute to the Gangnam region and they wear relatively low-cut dresses and short skirts,” he claimed.

I kid you not. Go read it for yourself. So, hear that ladies? Stop wearing those mini skirts and maybe the poor innocent sexual deviants won’t feel so compelled to grab your goodies.

I thought thinking like that disappeared long ago. I guess the Seoul police would rather wrap women up in burkas like the middle east to prevent such occurences. Though I’m thinking when the same thing happens they’ll probably blame the woman for wearing a too sexy burka that was too form fitting or stylish.

I suggest carrying mace on subway line number two or a pittbull.
