Last weekend the bookclub brunch met at All Day Brunch in Apqujong. First, right off the bat, let me tell you this place is swanky and you will be paying for the swank and not so much the food which is mediocre to okay at best. So, if you love the atmosphere of a hip trendy joint then this is definitely the place to get your brunch on.
The food is a mix between off the menu items or the buffet. Though for some reason the buffet may only be ventured to once so be sure to pile up that small rinky dink plate to maximum effect to get your money’s worth. Of course if they had more than saucer sized plates then maybe one wouldn’t have to do that.
The buffet did look amazingly tasty though. So points for presentation all around.
Now I have to mention that the focus for this get together was to discuss the lastest book selection of the book club. However, I have a confession to make–I’m a terrible book clubber. I either procrastinate too long and barely get through the title page by the time the book is due to be discussed or I get the title wrong and end up with an entirely different book altogether. My new belated new year’s resolution is to finally read the right book for book club.
Maybe we can have Book Fight Club instead where we split into teams, each select our most loathed and tiresome book and then debate about whose books is the absolute worst. Well, either that or we can throw the books at each other until we’re all unconscoius.
Jeni eyed her mini cheeseburgers like they shrunk themselves on purpose.
