Fur Going Wild

By Brian Dye and Rebekah Jackson

With winter quickly approaching, thoughts naturally turn to warm clothing; gloves, scarves, mittens and mufflers. Fashion editors predict fur to be the number one must have item for winter 2010. It’s not your grandmother’s fur; expensive designs bulky enough to smother you and your sexiness.  This season the folks at NAFA, the North American Fur Auction, aim to put you into something a little more glamorous.

Fur Gone Wild

Fur gets its sexy back by going wild. Mink takes a step back for the likes of red fox, coyote, sable, raccoon, and even beaver. NAFA’s collection features wild fur coats from established designers like Michael Kors, Oscar De La Renta, Nina Ricci, Zac Posen and Gianfranco Ferre while also showcasing the vision of rising stars such as Feraud and Bibhu Mohapatra.

Wild fur offers designers new textures and natural colors to spark creativity. The looks are sleek, bold, and arresting. Michael Kors reworks coyote in piecemeal fashion for an architectural twist. Oscar de le Renta’s dyed and feathered red fox exudes a sublime sensuality.  Feraud’s northern raccoon bolero jacket shimmers in sunlight.

Keep Warm this Winter

Winter 2010 fur can be an option for everyone according to Diane Benedetti, NAFA’s Vice President of advertising and promotion. NAFA partners with Jindo Fur Corporation to bring the cache of designer fur to today’s urban professional without designer prices.  It’s a partnership sewn in luxury.

Thanks to NAFA and Jindo all of Seoul can slip into a fur of their own and transform the city streets into their own catwalk.

On December 6th 2010 S TV, cable tv station, will hold its annual Success Award, honoring the most iconic successes in politics, enetrtainment, sports, fashion, etc. During this event, NAFA(North American Fur Auctions) will hold opening fur fashion show. This show is consisted of 6 major fur brands in Korea, such as Jindo, KeunHwa, DongWoo, YoonJin,Woodan and Elfee.
