KMK: My Temporary Hood

Teach

Here are a few shots of my temporary neighborhood. The area is somewhat busy with drugstores, restuarants, PC gaming cafes, food stalls, electronic stores, small groceries, and everything else you can imagine. It’s still not even close the busiest areas of Seoul, or so I’m told.

The weather has been crisp and cool. I definitely need a jacket when I walk around, but overall its not bad at all.

Here is the outside of my hotel. It’s pretty nondescript and at night the saving grace is the flashy blood red neon sign. It’s my beacon to find my way back.

As you can see the room is pretty small as in cubicle small. Luckily, the bathroom is a bit bigger. The floors are heated and its nice to wake up to a toasty warm floor. I’m told thats common over here and I think it’s a great idea. The tv gets about two stations that show English movies and tv shows like CSI, but I haven’t turned it on much except to find out what time it is.

I’ll have a few more pics soon. Yesterday was my first day of training and I’ll fill you in asap.
