Looking for a little amusement? Well Lotte World just happens to be a full fledged amusement park located in Jamsil Station. That’s right, in the station! Now this post is sort of a fake out because while my brother and I did come across Lotte World we didn’t really go in. The place looked a little too It’s a Small World and not enough Death Defying Superman Rollercoaster and so while we took a few snap shots we decided to wander around instead. Jamsil Station just happens to be an underground wonderland of shopping opportunities. Stores, shops, and stands, one after another, line the corridors ready to outfit you with everything from mix matched Dr. Seuss socks to Eighties hair scrunchies.
Who knew Missy Elliot had a shop in Seoul? I wonder if she knows she has a shop in Seoul? I wonder if she knows her shop in Seoul is selling bland casual wear? I always knew Missy Elliot was a closeted Korean Ajumma at heart.
I never knew there were Barbie Stores. Their Barbie prices could dress a real kid let alone a six inch doll.
If you want to relive your elementry school days without paying those Lotte World prices you can check out the game room.
And don’t forget the Ice skating. Year round you can lace up and take to the ice blazing past the on lookers as you and your friend re enact your Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding fantasies. Don’t tell me you don’t have them because I know you do.
When your day comes to a close you can always take in one of the many eateries at Jamsil. Though, you might want to avoid the Sizzler unless Ecoli happens to be a favorite side dish.
