If you’re ready for the brightest career future, join us in this excellent opportunity to showcase your talents. We are currently seeking an experienced Field Coordinator I (Adult Education / Professional Programs) for our Education department.
Responsibilities
- Establish and cultivate relationships with key union and management representative at assigned worksites of the 1199SEIU Training and Employment Funds (TEF)
- Work within labor and management context to develop site-based operations that best support employees accessing adult education services
- Coordinate the marketing, recruitment, admissions, counseling, and member services activities for Training and Upgrading Fund (TUF) programs at participating worksites
- Provide career and educational coaching and case management services to 1199SEIU members at participating worksites
- Oversee site-based training and educational programs offered through the TEF; keep abreast of healthcare industry and union issues in the region
- Outreach to membership at TUF facilities about training and education programs and develop systems with facilities to determine training needs and interests
- Partner with Assistant Director to foster relationships with educational providers for a range of programs, including English for Speakers of Other Languages and Adult Basic Education (ESOL/ABE), skills training, career ladder programs, etc
- Determine the capacity of potential educational providers to provide quality educational programs and services to eligible members
- Work in close collaboration with TEF staff and labor/management committee members to design, develop, implement and evaluate adult training programs
- Liaison with contracted educational providers and individual instructors to evaluate and monitor the quality and performance of programs
- Provide career and educational counseling services to members, worksite-based outreach, marketing and intake sessions with members
- Make sure that participants are aware of all program deadlines; information needed to complete the Tuition Assistance, Voucher process, and other information regarding their application for education benefits
- Work as a team with other TEF staff in Hudson Valley, New York City and other regions; provide assistance with grant budgets, administration and reporting requirements
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
