KMK: Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

Food Restaurants

One thing you notice immediate when you walk into the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is that everything looks delicious! And it’s good. I’m talking about mouth watering good. And for the prices it better well be the most special chocolate concoction in the whole wide world. I’m down, not so much because of the chocolate but because of the one thing I’ve spent years trying to track down in Seoul: Caramel Apples. Finding a Caramel Apple in Seoul has been my quest for the last ten years. Some years I’ve been triumphant and found an out of the way nondescript cafe so shady you’d think they were hawking off brand bootleg granny smith caramel apples. But at least I managed to get my mouth on one. Of course, my luck being what it is, that place ends up closing a few weeks later leaving me back on my quest for the next caramel apple of my dreams. That’s why I was so ecstatic to find the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.

The folks at Rocky Mountain know how to do Caramel Apples right: the classic plain caramel apple, the caramel apple featuring m&ms, the apple pie caramel apple, the pecan bear caramel apple, the English Toffee caramel apple, the cheesecake caramel apple, the rocky road caramel apple, the caramel apple featuring snickers, and (my all time favorite) the caramel apple with peanuts. I swear I passed out in sheer unexpected joy!

Of course if Caramel apples aren’t your thing then the chocolate awaits you. Like I said it’s a bit on the pricey side, but at least you get what you pay for. The sheer number of chocolate varieties will have your head spinning trying to make a selection. Everything from the deepest dark delicious chocolate to white chocolate (which always has a funny after taste in my opinion).
So if you have a sweet tooth, and I bet you do, then making the trip over to Coex will be worth it. Personally, I would only go for the caramel apples but you’ll find something to satisfy your craving.

The Good:

  1. So, how pricey is pricey? It would be cool to see a graphic of like one Kimchi leaf for 1,000-10,000, 2 for 11,000-20,000 and so on… why not also make your own caramel apples and save yourself 10 years lol

  2. Great review! I’m excited to give it a try the next time I’m in the area! Sometimes it’s worth it to pay extra for good quality stuff! Im a chocolate fanatic myself so this is great!
