KMK: Fatboy Sandwiches

Food Victuals

When it comes to slapping together a sandwich Chef Thomas Rhee from Fatboy Sandwiches knows his way around a baguette. In a short matter of months the whispers of his sandwich making ability to has blossomed into full fledged notoriety. I can’t tell you the amount of times folks have asked if I had tried Fatboy.

There are a number of sandwiches to choose from. My favorite is the New York Italian. You get layers of  Genoa Salami, Deli Ham, Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo, and spritzed with Olive Oil and Red Wine Vinegar all on a baguette. There’s also my second favorite, the Santa Fe Chick, with a Grilled Chicken Breast, Avocado, Bacon, and Cheddar Cheese all smothered in Honey Dijon and Thousand Island Dressing on a baguette. Coming in third is the Beefeater which puts medium-rare roast beef, Swiss Cheese, and Mayonnaise all on a Baguette. It’s okay, I do like the beef, but the mayo is just too much for me. NO MAYO!

And while I’m on the no mayo bandwagon I want to add this also applies to the side dishes. Yeah, I know macaroni salad needs mayo but why so much? Just a dab will do. Same with the Coleslaw and potato salad! Just a dab and it’ll be perfect. With ordering all three sides along with a sandwich you really will get enough food for two meals. Just finish off half the sandwich and half the sides and save the rest for later. It’s perfect.

The other line up of sandwiches include staples like Ham and Cheese, Tuna Salad, BLT,  and even a vegetarian wrap for the Vegetarians and Vegans. There’s also a selection of Caesar, Kale, Greek, Cobb, Asian and Italian salads to pick. What’s not to like about that???

The Good: Great Sandwiches at a Great price.

The Bad: A little heavy handed on the mayo! That’s nobody’s friend!

The Weird: Lawson Style Egg salad wrap… I had to google it.

Prices: 2,500 ~ 10,000 Won.
