KMK: Fixing Your Macbook in South Korea

Fixing Your Macbook in South Korea is not as hard as you might think. I previously blogged about my adventures to Ubase in Gangnam to fix my super ancient Ipod. So I knew they would be the ones to have a look at my ailing distraught Macbook Pro.

My Apple Care Protection had long since lapsed, but fortunately while surfing the net I came across a fortuitous post detailing all the trials and tribulations folks who share my model of laptop have been having with their graphic display cards. The Macbook Pro repair extension program was just what I needed. After a simple check to see if I qualified (I did!) I headed out to the Ubase in Myeongdong.Fixing Your Macbook in South Korea

The Myeongdong branch of Ubase is located in the Frisbee Store. This location is also a good choice because they stay open later on weekdays and they also have staff who can handle English speakers. They have a separate line to funnel the Iphone users into, so I didn’t have to wait any bone-calcifying long hours. I was in and out in under ten minutes, but I did have to come back the following week to pick up my laptop.

To reach the Ubase I went to go to Myeongdong Station on line 4. Take the right staircase when you head out of exit 6. Go straight for a few minutes and Frisbee will be on your left side.

The Ubase hours are Monday to Friday from 11 am to 7 pm and Saturdays from 11 am to 5 pm. Sundays and Holidays are closed. So if you’re in need of some Iphone, Ipad, Ipod, Macwhatever TLC then head on over.
