It’s no secret that I have an insatiable sweet tooth. My dessert of choice most often than not tends to be chocolate. Milk, dark, or white, it’s all good to me. So, it should come as no surprise that when my nose detected the cocoa flavored goodness on the streets of Hongdae that I had to track it down.
I ended up outside of Chocolatyum a shop specializing in homemade chocolates. Inside the intimate little shop is like being in someone’s kitchen. There’s a few chairs and tables to sit down, but most of the space is reserved for the shelves of chocolates, cakes, cookies, and candies on display. While not as lavish as Il Cacao in Gangnam, it’s also not as pricey, Chocolatyum shouldn’t be overlooked when you need some quick chocolate satisfaction while in Hongdae.
You can find Chocolatyum near the little park in Hongdae just down from Casa Maya.

Hey Mike! I'll have to go back and check out the madelines they are definitely yummy! I think there are a few more chocolate places in Hongdae. I'll have to track them down.
Never been to Leonidas. I'll have to hunt it down and compare. Do you know where it is by chance?
