Pierrot Strike Bowling
Recently I’ve been on a bit of a bowling blitz. In the last month alone I’ve gone with friends to hit the lanes several times. However, those experiences at those hum drum bowling alleys did not prepare me for the grand dame of bowling lanes: Pierrot Strike.
Pierrot Strike sits in the midst of Apgujeong among the swanky restaurants, posh boutiques, and international cafes. It fits right in. Once inside the doors you find yourself faced with a massive space of booths, pool tables, dart boards, a center bar and of course multiple bowling lanes.
The theme and style of Pierrot sets it apart from the competition. It stems straight from the namesake, Pierrot, a character out of the French commedia dell’arte. He’s a sad clown known for his naivte, foolishness, and gullible behavior. The archtypal clown face is splashed across the walls in neon colors that glow under the black lights.
At the back of the lanes huge LCD screens display the latest Victoria Secret Fashion show. The whole place has a fun vibe and really has to be experienced first hand. Each game costs 5,000 W per person so it really adds up if you’re having fun especially when you throw in drinks. It’s worth it though.
