I'd like to do an open letter on your blog about crazy drama scenes, synopsis' writing and the like if I may? Thank you for your response.

I just saw a prescreening for an upcoming Korean film and the subtitles sometimes had my eyebrow raised.

Brian, I came up with a few more topics! Like drama synopsis writing and translators. Eventhough, I'm a confirmed a-drama fan, there have been times when I want to write the rewrite a sypnosis or assist the subbers with their english. Especially when the synopsis contains 5+ paragraphs (the kicker is, after watching the drama, hardly anything written in the synopsis took place in the drama). Or when the translator randomly subs that the doorbell is ringing, someone's knocking on the door, or the best one, someone's speaking s-l-o-w-l-y! I didn't know they had a hearing-impaired feature! LOL!

I have a few more topic suggestions..how about the dramas! Being an a-drama fan, there have been some scenes and antics that literally defy any human logic! At least to me! For example...

-Walking into traffic (don't bother to look before doing so) while in a daze, then just stand and look at an approaching vehicle about 1/4 miles away! Then...WHAM!?????

-Does anybody ever wear pajamas? Do most sleep in their street clothes? Then, like get up, splash or dab, shake (the wrinkles out) and go!

-Maybe it's me, but why pull your shoes off before entering your home (I know why-just bear with me on this) when you took public transportation to and from work or wherever, then once home, you lie down in your bed without pulling off 'those' clothes!

-Chopsticks! Believe me I know how to work them. Even can pick up 1 grain of rice with them. Tada! Yet I read somewhere that it's a faux pas to use your own chopsticks to place food on someone's plate or bowl. If so, you use the reverse end or have extra chopsticks for serving. Not so in any dramas I've seen. I've never seen extra chopsticks and everyone uses the end that goes in their mouths to place food (an expression of endearment) in someone else's bowl! Yay! This is about midway thru the meal!

-Grabbing the back of the head when frustrated or one's command has been ignored! A sign of rebellious belligerence! I won't touch on the saline drip (for dehydration) used in fever or fainting scenes!

-Parents ready to marry their chaebol heir daughter or son (as a commodity) off to another chaebol heir family who's child is inconsiderate, aloof and arrogant! Yet, will disown or beat the living c**p out of their spoiled heir when they fall in love with a kind, gentle, loving, smart, (even college educated) middle-class or lower class soul!
