KMK: Trance

Trance

Looking for a change of pace from your usual Saturday night haunts? I know the routine: starting a Geckos, shuffling over to the Loft, maybe a little jaunt to B1, Wolfhound, or UN before finally settling in to drink the night away at Helios. Been there? Done that? I have and you probably have to. So, it’s time to shake things up people! Step off the beaten path and follow that glitter dusted road up homo hill.
Just keep going past hooker hill, bypass Cancun and King Club, and saunter up the next street up to homo hill to Trance where even the straight laced and uptight are welcome to unwind and party down. The bar is tiny, but you know what they say about size.
Inside Trance on Saturday nights the alcohol flows and the music booms until the witching hour when the lights dim and a spotlight blazes on the stage waiting for the queens to come out and play. Though it’s not a game as these girls, faces painted and body parts tucked, plucked, and strapped, strut across the stage in a fever frenzy, working the crowd for every last 1,000 won in their pocket. So, if your Saturday routine has you on zombie mode and you’re looking for something new then I suggest a detour to Trance. The drag queens won’t disappoint! But remember drag queens in captivity are known for the snark, but they won’t bite unless you provoke them.
