KMK: Teaching in Korea

Teaching in Korea

I can’t believe six months have come and gone since I’ve been in Korea. I have to say that at the half way mark I’m finding that I’m enjoying the experience more than I thought I would.

I’ve been lucky that the kids in my classes have been great for the most part. There are a number of class clowns, but they are good and pretty much well behaved.

You can’t have a studious kid without a joker counterpart, right?

A new semester has started so I have all new students. Its tough changing things up after you’ve worked six months to build a relationship with the students you had.

Besides the kids, my co-workers have made the esl experience totally worth it. It’s tough when some say goodbye when their contracts end.

Six down, six more to go.

I’m a blogger, writer, and teacher. I’ve been working in South Korea’s ESL field for the last three years. My one year contract has unexpectedly turned into a journey that I’m still on and loving.
