Heat & Humidity

Heat & Humidity

If you’re planning on coming to Seoul in the Summer months to teach English then be prepared for the temperature shock. My precious baby above is worthless, because I have no window to put her in!
Actually, it’s not just the thermometer topping heat, but couple that with what feels like 100% humidity and you have double trouble.
The humidity feels so thick sometimes that it’s like walking through molasses. And within minutes of leaving your apartment you’re starting to drench your clothes in sweat. Not fun.
Worse, my apartment has no air conditioner, so you can imagine my excitement when I got one from my friend Jane. However, that excitement withered and died when I finally lugged the beauty home and discovered that all my windows have bars. All of them!
Hopefully, the land lady can do something about that, but it’s not looking good. I have my fan on all night and it helps, but just barely.
So if you’re coming be sure to bring light airy shirts that breathe and shorts. Of course if your employer requires suits then you’re just screwed.
